MEET THE PARENTS
Mochi and Moxie are both multigenerational, non-shedding labradoodles. They are super smart, loving, social, active dogs with gentle temperaments. Both parents love the water, playing outside, and are always up for an adventure. Inside the house, they are completely trustworthy and well behaved. They love meeting new people, and get along well with other dogs and the animals on our farm. Both have been Embark Breeder DNA health-screened with no issues. Dad is 55 lb and mom is 45. Their puppies have ranged from 38-60 lbs full-grown. We're happy to send you their DNA health screening results (PDF) upon request. Mochi is registered with the Continental Kennel Club (CKC): 1931572-2. Pups can be CKC registered based on parental DNA results if you wish.

ABOUT US
Our Ethical Breeding Process
At Bigfoot Doodles, we're committed to ethical breeding practices that prioritize the health, temperament, and well-being of every puppy. Our goal is to bring you a multi-generational Labradoodle that will be the perfect, loving addition to your home and family.
Health and Genetics
We believe a healthy puppy starts with healthy parents. Our multi-generational Labradoodles are specifically bred for their non-shedding, curly fleece coats, a characteristic inherited from their poodle lineage. This makes them an excellent choice for families with allergies. Beyond their beautiful coats, our breeding dogs are chosen for their exceptional temperament, intelligence, and active nature.
To ensure the highest standards of health, our parent dogs have undergone comprehensive DNA health testing through Embark Breeder. These genetic screenings help us identify and prevent hereditary conditions, ensuring our puppies are robust and healthy. While we currently focus on Embark DNA testing, we continuously review and integrate the best practices in canine health screening to ensure our dogs are very fit and active. You can request to see our parent dogs' health clearances at any time.
Raising Our Puppies in a Nurturing Environment
Our puppies are lovingly hand-raised on our homestead farm in beautiful Southwest Washington State. From birth, they're immersed in a stimulating and enriching environment where they can truly thrive. This allows them to explore, play, and develop crucial "doggy skills" like scenting, spatial awareness, and confidence.
-
They have plenty of opportunities to socialize with our other animals and take trips into town to meet people, preparing them for a diverse range of experiences in their new homes.
-
We start introducing them to grooming and nail trimming early. As doodles, grooming will be part of their lives, so we want them to have the best start.
-
Daily interaction, play, and focused training are integral to their early development. We work with each puppy individually, beginning the process of socialization, human interaction, basic training, potty training, and even getting used to leash walking. By the time they're ready to join your family, they will have received all necessary vaccinations.
-
For bonus fun, we expose them to truffle scent, which makes future truffle training easier if you decide to do that. Poodles and their related curly-haired breeds have been used to find truffles for centuries.
Vaccination and Deworming
We begin their vaccination schedule as soon as they’re weaned, usually around 7 weeks, following veterinary recommendations. We use Spectra vaccines, and all puppies receive their age-appropriate shots before their rehoming date. You’ll receive full vaccination records to share with your vet and continue a protocol suited to your region and risks. Please note: your puppy will still need a rabies vaccine (and Washington State rabies tag) from your veterinarian at 12-16 weeks, followed by a booster 1 year later. We follow a thorough Fenbendazole (Safeguard) deworming protocol for mother and pups.
Our Commitment to Your Family
We are a small-batch breeder, which allows us to provide individualized attention and care to every single puppy. We believe that raising a puppy is a rewarding and educational experience, and we are dedicated to supporting you through the process. Our aim is to help you find the ideal companion that fits seamlessly into your life.
When you welcome one of our puppies into your home, you're bringing in a dog bred for temperament, health, and a loving disposition. We outline specific care standards in our Homing Agreement, ensuring our puppies continue to receive the best possible care throughout their lives.
Our "Do Not Surrender" policy represents our lifelong commitment to our puppies; if for any reason you can no longer care for your dog, we ask that you contact us first for assistance with rehoming.
We invite you to reach out and schedule a time to meet our pups and see our breeding program in action. We are excited to help you find the perfect addition to your family!

Homing Agreement
These are the things we ask of prospective pet parents:
01
House your dog inside
-
These dogs are bred to be companion animals, and they thrive on human contact. Please don’t leave your dog on an outside tie-up because it can lead to behavioral problems. The same goes for confined spaces for long periods of time. Both situations can potentially make dogs territorial and/or show signs of anxiety.
03
Access to Water at All Times
Make sure puppies have free access to fresh water at all times, and can eat the recommended amount of food for their size. Puppies have small systems, and they can get thrown out of balance by a lack of hydration, electrolytes, blood sugar levels, etc. Some people think withholding water is a good way to prevent accidents during house training, but this is a bad idea. You’re better off cleaning up a few mistakes than having a sick puppy or a trip to the emergency vet.
We free-feed our dogs, and they have never had any issues with food-guarding, overeating, or weight problems.
05
Clean Your Dog's Teeth
They don’t mind toothbrushing if you introduce it early and use a flavored dog toothpaste. Raw beef bones are also an excellent treat that helps keep tarter from building up.
07
Pet Insurance
It’s important to be able to deal financially with an unexpected injury or illness.
09
Do Not Surrender
-
Hopefully it never happens, but if you ever need to give up your dog for some unforeseen reason, please contact us, and don’t surrender to a shelter. We will help find a home, or take the dog in ourselves.
02
Use Positive Training
-
Never hit or punish your dog physically. Labradoodles are highly intelligent, have very good memory, and are naturally eager to please their people. If they are engaging in negative behavior, withholding your attention is usually enough to discourage it. All dogs make mistakes, but negative experiences can create long-lasting anxiety around training, which ends up making it much harder in the long run.
04
Please Vaccinate
Especially in our wet PNW environment, parvo and leptospirosis are very common and deadly. Also consider flea, tick, and heartworm prevention depending on conditions in your area to protect your pets from common deadly diseases.
06
Consider Delaying Neuter/Spay
For health reasons, current recommendations are to wait at least 18 months to neuter or spay dogs in this size range. This gives them time to fully develop and the best chance of avoiding musculoskeletal issues and torn ligaments. Some vets are now recommending not neutering male dogs unless there is a specific reason to do so. Our experience has been that these dogs are very easy-going, and don’t have any issues with aggression or marking.
08
